Whether you’re treating yourself to a well deserved bauble or looking to pick up something unique and heart-felt for a friend or family member, this sizing guide will help you pick the right size.
Finding your perfect fit
Measure your wrist at the wrist bone with a measuring tape, not too tight, not loose. This is your wrist measurement. Your ideal bracelet size is anywhere between 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch larger than your wrist measurement, as shown in the chart below.
Wrist Measurement | Bracelet Size |
6 inches | 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 inches |
6 1/2 inches | 6 3/4 to 7 inches |
7 inches | 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 inches |
7 1/2 inches | 7 3/4 to 8 inches |
8 inches | 8 1/4 to 8 1/2 inches |
8 1/2 inches | 8 3/4 to 9 inches |
My wrist measures 6 inches so my ideal bracelet size is any bracelet listed as 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 inches.
How I Determine Bracelet Size
To ensure you are getting a bracelet that fits your wrist measurement, all bracelets I create are measured using a bracelet sizing cone. This eliminates any sizing issues and ensures a comfortable fit every time.
The reason I do not use “bracelet length” is because that “measurement” is meaningless when it comes to the wearers wrist size. ”Bracelet length” is determined by laying a bracelet out in a straight line and measuring from end to end. A “bracelet length” of 7 inches, for example, that uses tiny beads, will fit more loosely than a bracelet created using larger beads, which has a more snug fit. Technically, they’re both 7 inches long but they do not fit the same wrist measurement or they may not fit at all.
This is why I use a bracelet sizing cone. It offers a true “bracelet size” so you’ll always which pieces fit and which ones will not.
